Showcasing BC curriculum

After months and weeks of preparation, I am thrilled to say that our school inspection by the British Columbia Ministry of Education is done. The purpose of the annual inspection is to ensure all Offshore schools are delivering, dynamic, solid BC curriculum; one that is genuine, purposeful and done with integrity. Documents, binders, reporting procedures, safety plans, fire drills, lesson plans, PLO’s, and student preparation, school goals, professional development goals were all organized so three expert educators could come in, investigate and give us the “A-Okay”.The days were extremely busy, and a bit stressful, but at the end of the day, I have found the process to be insightful and educational. The process has solidified once again, things I already know; the BC curriculum is so rich and varied; our system is strong, dynamic and solid, and prepares students well for high school or post-secondary study abroad. Most of all, our teachers are well trained and highly skilled at what they do each and every day at our schools.I’ll take a day to relax this weekend, and then onwards we go...Shannon
